Nigerian actor and Tv host, Chidi Mokeme has shed hot hears in reaction to the pain he felt when presidential aspirant, Atiku Abubakar took an insensitive step by deleting a post he shared condemning the killing of Deborah Samuel.
On May 12, 2022, Deborah Samuel a second-year Christian student was lynched and set ablaze by her colleagues at Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, over alleged blasphemy
After her death, a post from Atiku Abubakar‘s official accounts condemned the lynching.
However, after some of his followers threatened not to vote for him because he condemned the lynching, Atiku deleted the post and said he did not approve for it to be posted.
Chidi Mokeme who revisited the incident said as much as he had a lot of respect for Atiku, he was hurt by the fact that he deleted the tweet. In a video posted this morning, October 11, between sobs, he explained how pained he was.
