Nigerian vocalist Wande Coal has premiered his debut studio album, ‘Mushin 2 Mo’Hits,’ online 13 years after its official release in the Nigerian market.
As of 2009, when Wande Coal dropped the body of work, Nigerian musicians were yet to tap into the digital streaming platforms, which is now the order of the day. The release of the album and its massive promotions on the streets contributed to the album’s success, which is one of the leading evergreen bodies of work in the Nigerian music industry.
‘Mushin 2 Mo’Hits’ album by Wande Coal was a tremendous success, and virtually all the tracks on the project were hits that positioned the Black Diamond Entertainment boss as undoubtedly an immortal talent.
Fast-forward to 2022, social media and digital streaming platforms like iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Deezer, Amazon, e.t.c, have changed the way the world consumes music, and Wande Coal keyed into it to re-promote the ageless classic, ‘Mushin 2 Mo’Hits.’
‘Mushin 2 Mo’Hits’ was released under Mo’Hits Records now Mavin Records, headed by acclaimed music executive Don Jazzy. The album featured D’Banj, K-Switch, D’Prince, Dr. Sid, and Ikechukwu. It houses ageless songs like ‘Bumper To Bumper,’ ‘Ololufe,’ ‘Ten Ten Mo Hits All Stars,’ ‘Se Ope,’ ‘You Bad,’ and ‘Se Na Like This,’ amongst others.
