It’s a big insult to mention Funke Akindele in my presence – Tinubu blows hot in new video

The Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has taken a swipe at Funke Akindele, Actress and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) deputy governorship candidate in Lagos.

Tinubu was at Lagos APC secretariat on Acme Road in Ogba on Wednesday for the party’s caucus meeting, shelving other engagements to reunite with his political family.

The presidential candidate was with Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje and the APC Vice Presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima at Alaba-Rago in Ojo to meet with the Hausa communities.

Activities in the area were brought to a halt, as Lagos APC leaders, Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) members and thousands of party faithful received the presidential candidate.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu led all members of the State Executive Council to the meeting presided over by the Lagos APC chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi.

In the video making the rounds, members of the party during the meeting scoffed at PDP’s Funke Akindele as they lauded Tinubu’s contributions to the political process in Nigeria.

Irritated by the comparison, Tinubu told the gathering that he finds it disrespectful and insulting to mention the Nollywood Actress in his presence.

According to him, Funke Akindele is still a baby in understanding the game of politics in Nigeria.
