African foremost movie production company, Inkblot Productions has released the trailer of its star-studded limited series, ‘Far From Home.’
This was shared on Netflix Nigeria’s social media account, giving a brief summary of what the series is about as well as a glimpse into the cast of the series.
The Dami Elebe-penned series tells the story of Ishaya (Mike Afolarin), an ambitious teenager and gifted artist from a low-income family whose dreams suddenly seem within reach after receiving a coveted scholarship to the country’s most exclusive school, which thrusts him into the affluent world of Nigeria’s elite. Meanwhile, Ishaya’s newfound position and ultimately the security of his family are in danger due to a massive secret.
Chinaza Onuzo, founder of Inkblot Production expressed excitement on partnering with Netflix on this project while also classing the series as a unique story.

The cast of the ‘Far From Home’ include big names like Funke Akindele, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, Bolanle Ninalowo, Bucci Franklin, Bimbo Akintola, Linda Ejiofor, Chioma Akpotha, Femi Branch, Carol King and Ufuoma Mcdermott.
Mike Afolarin, Elma Mbadiwe, Genoveva Umeh, Gbubemi Ejeye, Olumide Oworu and Natse Jemide are some of the rising stars in the 5-part series.
