Wizkid, the award-winning Nigerian singer, has stated that he intends to change his singing style because of his children.
During a recent interview with the Guardian UK, the Essence singer revealed that he intends to change the lyrics to his songs.
The father of four noted that the words he uses in his songs must be carefully chosen because his children listen to them.
My Music Has Been Influenced by Bob Marley
The father of four shed more light on his upcoming album, ‘More Love Less Ego,’ explaining that the next chapter of his life was to manage his ego and live forever through his music.
Wizkid recently saw the Bob Marley musical ‘Get Up, Stand Up!’ and stated that it reaffirmed what he wanted for his life.
He said;
Alongside managing my ego, one other aim for this new chapter is to live forever. “Not physically, but for whatever I create to live forever.
I recently went to see Bob Marley musical, ‘Get Up, Stand Up!’ I was like, ‘Yo, we’re watching a Bob Marley play and this guy died decades ago.’
I didn’t even know that he died at 36. He did so much at a young age. It just reaffirms what I do; I have to keep taking this to the highest heights. Because I know one day they’re definitely going to create a play about me.
Wizkid’s ‘More Love Less Ego’ will be released on Friday, November 11, 2022.
