Nigerian rapper Oladipo Olamide Emmanuel, professionally known as Chinko Ekun, has schooled parents on how education is not a scam, but should not be seen as a yardstick to success.
The Obafemi Awolowo University Law graduate said it’s necessary for a child to be learned so as to be versed in technology, which is the way the world is moving towards.
Chinko Ekun added that a child shouldn’t be limited to thinking one can make a living only through white collar jobs, as other opportunities like sports, skills, talents and more are other necessary means.
The ‘Able God’ crooner tweeted:
“Education no be scam but it ain’t the yardstick to success.
Two ways to interpret or decipher:
A child needs to be learned to catch up with technology and how the world is evolving.A child should be taught that a living can be made via sports, skills, talents and more…”
In other news, Nollywood actress Mary Remmy-Njoku has cautioned those planning to use IJGBs to escape Sapa as Christmas approaches.
She said ‘sapa’ is everywhere and is not restricted only to Nigerians so ladies should date whosoever they love so they won’t end up feeling used.
Mary Njoku recalled a year during her childhood days, a street brother came from London telling them he has a law firm, years later she travelled and saw the same person working in a barber’s shop in the UK, so no one should be deceived with I Just Got Back.
“Chai! Xmas don reach o.
I remember that year when an Area Bros came back from Jand with a weird accent and pocket full of lies.
‘I run a big law firm in London’ & I wasn’t into him cos his ‘yarns’ were inconsistent.
And despite the ‘supposed’ BLOW, he wasn’t smart.
Well, I saw him at a barber shop in London few years later and he couldn’t even look at me. The shoes didn’t lie. UK is real.
Well I said a prayer for him. Hope he is OK wherever he is.“Moral lessons.
£10 is now 10k. So be careful with IJGB this Christmas. “I wanna gonna’ is NOT a measure of one’s intelligence or success*Date who you truly like so you don’t feel deceived. *Sapa is a universal thing. E dey everywhere.”
