Ijakumo (The Born-Again Stripper)
This action-filled thriller written by Kehinde Joseph and produced by Toyin Abraham follows the story of the daughter of a powerful spiritualist who is on a mission to ruin the life of her ex-lover, a popular pastor of a mega-church who jilted her and left her to die, taking a stripper and a choir leader on her path of revenge.
According to Toyin Abraham, this action thriller is unlike one we’ve ever seen before and loud would be an understatement to define it.
Kolawole Ajeyemi, Lolade Okusanya, Kunle Remi, Lillian Afegbai, Olumide Oworu, and Eso Dike are among the cast members, led by Toyin Abraham herself.
‘Ijakumo (The Born-Again Stripper) is scheduled to be released in cinemas on the 23rd of December, 2022.
Palava
When you see veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo in a movie, you already know it is about to be a great one. In ‘Palava,’ the veteran actor played the role of Osage Idehen, a famous music artist with five daughters.
‘Palava’ follows the story of how his love for women constantly puts him in the middle of the drama. On the eve of his 60th birthday, a scandal is exposed, upending his life and that of his family.
Produced by Inkblot Productions and set for release in cinemas on the 9th of December, 2022, ‘Palava’ has a robust cast of actors and actresses including Linda Ejiofor, Bisola Aiyeola, Jemima Osunde, Beverly Naya, Beverly Osu, Chinedu Ikedieze, Iyabo Ojo, Mercy Aigbe, Eniola Badmus, Omawumi Megbele, Gideon Okeke and BBNaija star, Neo Akpofure, with Richard Mofe-Damijo in the lead.
Rising: City Of Dreams
This movie uses a Nigerian reality to tell an interesting story of a leadership tussle, while also showcasing the famous Oshodi side of Lagos.
‘Rising: City Of Dreams’ follows the story of two gangs engaged in a power tussle over the leadership of a market. It tells the story of gang-related crimes, using violence as a tool to paint a visual picture of the issues portrayed in the film.
The cast includes Jide Kosoko, Zubby Michael, Femi Branch, Yvonne Jegede, Reminisce, Slimcase, DJ Neptune, Yakubu Mohammed, and Bolaji Amusan.
‘Rising: City Of Dreams’ is directed by Samuel Olatunji, and produced by Wale Muraina. The movie is set to be released in cinemas on the 9th of December, 2022.
U-Turn
In a story of the love of money, ‘U-Turn’ follows two characters, a cab driver and a lone passenger on a long journey with unclear intentions towards each other.
Cast members include Jide Kosoko, Muyiwa Adegoke, Ebun Oloyede, Mama No Network, and Tina Mba under the direction of Gabriel Afolayan and Uche Agbambu.
‘U-Turn’ is produced by Studio 6 Multimedia Limited and will debut on Netflix on December 2, 2022.
