Reactions Trail Moment Mr. Macaroni Drags Twitter User’s Father In Response To A Tweet About D’banj

Mr. Macaroni drags Twitter user’s father

Nigerian actor, skit maker and activist, Mr. Macaroni in a response to a tweet by a Twitter user had dragged her father into the conversation, sparking reactions from many users on whether he was right or wrong.

Following the arrest and detention of popular Nigerian musician, Oladapa Daniel Oyebanji known as Dbanj by Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) over allegations of NPower fraud, the Twitter user made a post directed at Mr. Macaroni urged people to imagine it was the actor that was arrested instead.

In her tweet, she insinuated that people’s reaction would have been different if the actor was arrested instead of Dbanj simply because he is an opposing voice and people are most likely to see a foul play in the arrest.

Responding to the apparent attack on his person, Mr. Macaroni dragged the user’s father into the conversation, asking her to imagine it was her father that was arrested.

Since the time of the response, there have been divided opinion on whether Mr. Macaroni was right or wrong for his response.

Reactions

“Macaroni, involving people’s loved ones in ur clapbacks isn’t right; Especially their parents. Show some respect. Direct ur response to whoever triggers u. Fans will hype ur acts but u should kn¤w better cos as a public figure whatever u do is emulated by many. Tread carefully.” – @DanielRegha

“Honestly with the level of respect I have for you,  I don’t think this is right frm u. Her father is innocent of dis. She said such words not her father. And she didn’t even involve your father.  Apologise to her father pls.  You’re a public figure.” – @beetwo40

“Y’all shouting her father is not an activist are not serious. If you come for anyone unprovoked, anything you see you collect. I endorse this reply.” – @NduJennifer_

“I don’t see why some of you are crying under this tweet. She imagined, he also imagined. I don’t see where he disrespected anyone.” – @iamphavour

“U being supported now and ur savaging her na you go still cry come say dem Dey threaten you mr indomitable abi what’s ur name again.” – @preciousboy2010

So far, Dbanj’s camp has issued a notice to the general public, urging that they let the investigation be concluded and not subject the musician to the court of internet trial.
