VIDEO: Nikki Laoye, others in tears as Sammie Okposo is laid to rest in Lagos

Gospel singer, Sammie Okposo has been laid to rest in Lagos.

The 51-year-old was buried at a private cemetery in Ikoyi after a Church service on Thursday, December 15.The ceremony was officiated by senior pastor of House on the Rock, Paul Adefarasin and lead pastor at The L.O.G.I.C (Love Of God In Christ) Church, Dr Flourish Peters.

The burial was attended by Sammie Okposo’s colleagues and friends including Nollywood actor, Segun Arinze; gospel singer Nikki Laoye who could not hold back her tears as Sammie was being lowered into the ground.

Sammie died in his sleep on Friday, November 25. See video:

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that Sammie Okposo’s wife could not hold back her tears at her late husband’s farewell party.

Nigerian entertainers including Segun Arinze, Ali Baba, Chinedu Ikedieze and Charles Inojie on Tuesday December 13, attended the night of tributes for the late gospel singer Sammie Okposo.

The event was held at the La Madison Place, Oniru in Lagos and it was a very emotional experience for all.

The event also witnessed emotional performances by gospel singers Tope Alabi, Mike Abdul and Efe Nathan.

While Tope sang a farewell and worship song, Mike led the choir in high praise.

Music artiste Timi Dakolo and comedian Apororo also performed at the event.
