Popular Nigerian filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan has shared a video documenting the making of the Netflix original Christmas movie, ‘A Naija Christmas.’

In an Instagram post made by the 48-year-old Nigerian filmmaker, he spoke about the song renditions while also giving the audience a peek into the process of bringing the film to life.

‘A Naija Christmas’ follows the story of a family. The three sons go on a search for a woman they can bring home by Christmas while their mother is organizing the most exquisite Christmas carol for her church.

In the 40-mins long video, Kunle Afolayan took us through the process, his relationship with the actors, how he directed the movie amongst many other things.

Efa Iwara, one of the main characters of the film also jokingly shared why he took the role of the movie, stating that Kunle Afolayan made him do it.

Also, Kunle Remi who played Ugo in the film stated that the reason he took the role was because it was a total package.

“Why did I agree to take the role? Because it’s an amazing script and I like the character Ugo. It’s directed by Kunle Afolayan, and it’s on Netflix. Total package.”

The video highlighted the characters, sourcing for locations as well as what the actors feel about working with Kunle Afolayan.
