Mercy Eke has reacted to the drama and accusations that she falsified her age, while coming clean about ‘her real age’.
The drama started when the reality star took to Twitter over the weekend to share her voter’s card while calling on Nigerians to collect theirs.
Mercy Eke covered her age in the PVC but left her VIN and Twitter users used this information to search for her details on the INEC website.
“Last of my 20s,
Happy birthday to me!!!”
Not bothered by the fuss about her age, Mercy Eke returned to Twitter on Monday, January 16 to quote-tweet her initial post. She wrote:
“It’s a new day to pick up your PVC, don’t miss out on exercising your right. Love you!.”
A follower then called her out directly and she responded. The follower wrote:
“But you’re close to 40 yrs old why you dey lie for us.”
While Mercy pretended to come clean about her age, she replied sarcastically:
“I’m actually 52.”
