Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, the Nigerian sensational singer, has made history by becoming the first Nigerian artist to receive an Oscar nomination.
WITHIN NIGERIA reports that the 2023 Oscar nomination list was released on Tuesday, January 23, 2023, with Tems making Nigerians proud.
Tems was nominated for her work as a songwriter on ‘Lift Me Up,’ one of the soundtracks for Marvel’s ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Voting for the 2023 Oscars will take place from March 2nd to March 7th, with the ceremony taking place on Sunday, March 12th at the Dolby Theater and hosted by comedian and talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.
