John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, and his wife, Stella Maris, have reconciled following a messy social media drama involving a lady identified as Jasmine, who claimed to be the actor’s daughter.
WITHIN NIGERIA reports that the thespian’s wife reached out to an Instagram blog to open up about her marriage’s struggles and Jasmine’s ruse to sell her husband’s property worth over N65 million.
Stella claims that she has been suffering in her marriage because her husband has abandoned her and their children since last year to pursue a financial relationship with Jasmine.
She claimed that the lady posing as Jasmine Okoafor is Chioma Florence Okekeagukwu, from Imo State, and has no relation to her husband, who is from Enugu State.
According to the actor’s wife, Mr. Ibu suffers from dementia (memory loss), and Jasmine took advantage of her husband’s illness to gain fame.
Mr. Ibu’s wife claims that Jasmine is the actor’s manager and has received all money related to his business and acting.
She went on to say that whenever she needed to speak to or ask for money from her husband, she would do so through Jasmine.
She mentioned that, in addition to managing all of Mr. Ibu’s social media accounts, the couple is also in a romantic relationship.
Mr. Ibu’s wife also stated that their children are currently absent from school due to a lack of funds, as Jasmine, the actor’s bank account manager, has refused to authorize the payment of their school fees.

In an interview with Daddy Freeze, Mr. Ibu denied having a romantic relationship with Jasmine, claiming she is his adopted daughter who also serves as his manager.
He mentioned that Jasmine was in charge of his care while he was in the hospital last year, as well as paying the hospital bills.

In a video shared online, the couple was seen wearing matching outfits as Stella revealed she has adopted Jasmine and would be the manager of her husband.
