Popular Nollywood actor cum entrepreneur, Aremu Afolayan has in a video shared online wasted no time to blast the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele for saying CBN does not have enough paper to print new Naira notes.
Recall that following Naira redesign, there has beeen scarcity of naira notes leading to low volume of money in circulation.
This has resulted in protests in several states across the country due to the hardship people are going through before getting money at banks, ATMs, and POS, a situation that has resulted in deaths of some people forcing some banks to close down.
Reacting to the new Naira note scarcity, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has said the apex bank does not have the capacity to print adequate new Naira notes.
Premium Times reports that Emefiele made the disclosure on Friday, February 10, when he briefed the emergency meeting of the National Council of State.
Responding to this, Aremu Afolayan in an angry outburst lambasted the CBN Governor, Emefiele calling him a useless decision maker for bringing untold hardship to Nigerians.
He added that Emefiele has been doing absolutely nothing as the CBN Governor and he should be arrested and jailed following the death of people so far on the new note scarcity.
