No be all of us be ashewo – Actress Uche Ogbodo insists, hits back at colleagues stating otherwise

Movie star, Uche Ogbodo has insisted that not all actresses in the movie industry are ‘ashewo’ [i.e: prostitutes].

She made her point in a post she shared on her Instastories. According to Uche, some actresses are hardworking and respect their bodies.

Uche Ogbodo’s assertion is coming after the likes of Angela Okorie, Nedu, Anita Joseph, others insinuated otherwise.

In her final message, Uche Ogbodo added that some of them believe in staying with one man, dating them for years and being faithful.

Uche Ogbodo wrote:

“Bullets flying up and down since ! Haaa!

Make Unah cam Dan! No be all of us be ASHAWO.

Some still dey we be hardworkers! Decent! Respect their bodies!

No be every actress body dey street ooo. Actressses are like every woman in general. Some nah ASHAWO, while some believe in hard work and running different hustles. Even some are contractors who actually do major contracts in millions.

Stop generalizing and selling all actresses short! Enough is Enough!

Some of us believe in staying with one man, dating one man sef for 5-10 years and being faithful to him alone weda money dey or money no dey. While we keep working hard. Because we no go fit shake our family Name!”.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls actress, Angela Okorie had admonished her female colleagues to stop pretending that acting alone is behind their lavish lifestyle.

In an interview with Factory 78, Angela Okorie stated that many of her colleagues have other side hustles to fund their lifestyle.

According to her, the only reason why actressses are more successful than their male colleagues is because they have other sources of income.

She noted how up-and-coming actresses, who have barely lasted a year in the industry, flaunts mansions and credit the industry for their expensive possessions.

For her, such acts makes those who have been in the industry for years, look unserious.

Angela reiterated that they can’t tell her, acting alone is behind such lifestyle as she is also in the field and has been there for years.
