Popular Nigerian entertainers, Falz, Chioma Akpotha and other voters were reportedly attacked in their polling units in Lagos state, where they had gone to cast his vote.
The presidential election has commenced with a total of 18 candidates contesting for Nigeria’s highest office.
Millions of Nigerians have taken to their polling units to cast their votes in favour of their preferred candidates. Celebrities are also not left out of the phenomenon.
Falz trended on Twitter after a viral Instagram live video captured moment he and some voters were attacked at Ikate, Lekki, Lagos state.
According to reports, the rapper’s phone was seized from him, which sparked reactions online as many expressed displeasure.
In the latest post via his Instastory, Falz appreciated his many fans who checked up on him as he added that was fine. He further revealed he had been handed his phone and was yet to vote.

Chioma Akpotha also raised alarm amid tears on her Instagram live, lamenting how thugs invaded and disrupted ongoing elections in Eti-Osa LGA, Lagos.
