Music boss turn politician, Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W; the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Eti Osa Federal House of Representatives seat, has spoken out for the first time after losing at the polls.
Recall that Thaddeus Attah, a candidate of the Labour Party, surprisingly defeated Banky W and won the position.
Banky W posted a video of himself at a Sunday service, where he expressed utmost disappointment over his election loss.
In the video, Banky W revealed that he had made significant preparations in anticipation of his victory, including plans for a Sunday thanksgiving program, searching for an apartment and office in Abuja, and more.
Despite his disappointment, Banky W averred that his faith in God has given him strength, even though it’s natural to feel hurt in such situations.
Banky W also stated that his election loss will not deter him from giving thanks to God, and he intends to hold the previously planned thanksgiving event.
Captioning a snippet of the video on IG, he wrote:
“For anyone who’s ever suffered through a loss, a disappointment or a situation where things just didn’t work out the way you hoped… “Faith after a Fall” is for you. For me. For all of us. Please watch this and share if you feel compelled. The full message is on my YouTube page.
