Nollywood actor, Dave Ogbeni has expressed his disappointment on how his female colleagues are being portrayed when it comes to their craft.
Stating that he is tired with the general assumption that all Nollywood actresses get their money in impure ways, Dave Ogbeni that it is not so.
Taking to his Instagram page, Dave Ogbeni opined that there should be a clear cut demarcation between Nollywood actressses and Nollywood prostitutes.
The thespian noted how not every Nollywood actress came for the craft. In his words, some are only in the industry for the ‘cash’.
He added that he is tired of his politician friends calling his female colleagues names. Dave Ogbeni wrote:
“There should be a clear cut demarcation between Nollywood actressses and Nollywood prost!tute. No be every girl come for the craft, many came for the (indirect) cash.
Just so you know. I’m tired of my politician friends calling my female colleagues names. I’m tired”.
Similarly, actress and singer, Angela Okorie had admonished her female colleagues to stop pretending that acting alone is behind their lavish lifestyle.
In an interview with Factory 78, Angela Okorie stated that many of her colleagues have other side hustles to fund their lifestyle.
According to her, the only reason why actressses are more successful than their male colleagues is because they have other sources of income.
She noted how upcoming actresses, who have barely lasted a year in the industry, flaunts mansions and credit the industry for their expensive possessions.
For her, such acts makes those who have been in the industry for years, look unserious.
Angela reiterated that they can’t tell her, acting alone is behind such lifestyle as she is also in the field and has been there for years.
