Nigerian top comedian cum film actor, AY Makun, has dished out more information regarding his viral feud with Basketmouth. AY spoke on an incident that led Basketmouth to call him after years of not talking to each other.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, the comedian mentioned that, in the history of his knowing Bright Okpocha, he will not stoop to the level of apologizing for anything.
AY added that he was shocked when Basketmouth reached out to him to clear the air about a recent post that many assumed was a shade at the former.
The 30 Days in Atlanta actor said:
“A while ago, he posted about how people go online to show off cars and other things they bought. Incidentally, I posted a ride I got my wife two days to that tweet, so people went on his page and were like, “This must be referring to AY” and for the first time, while I was in London, Bright called me and was like, “Guy, see wetin I dey hear o, people are relating what I posted to you, it has nothing to do with you.” I was so happy; I mean he practically called me!”
AY Comedian added that when he got back to Nigeria, he assumed all was well and called Basketmouth regarding a show of theirs which coincidentally fell on the same day.
He stated that he sent Basketmouth skit samples that they could do to promote both shows but he was shocked when he didn’t get a feedback.
The father of two went on to note that Basketmouth has infused the ‘canceling culture’, in such a way that anyone who is affiliated with him gets canceled. It has to be one person or the other. Watch AY speak below:
