During a recent interview on Cool FM, Lagos, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro, revealed the artist he would never consider writing a song for.
With great certainty, Spyro declared that Portable is the sole musician he would decline to collaborate with in terms of songwriting.
Spyro attributed their dissimilar musical styles as the fundamental factor behind his decision, emphasizing that Portable’s distinct approach would hinder him from delivering a gratifying performance if he were to craft a song specifically for him.
Spyro’s assertion came after radio presenter, Do2tun, threw a controversial question to the promising crooner.
“Who would you never write a song for?” Do2tun asked.
In response, Spyro avowed:
“Portable, not because I have an issue with him but because our paths just don’t cross. Our kind of music don’t align. He won’t be able to deliver the kind of music I will write for him because it’s not his style.”
When asked if he thinks Portable is a good singer, Spyro said:
“I think Portable is good. It’s intentional when people do the type of music portable does.”
