Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema, a Nigerian singer, has explained why he recently hung out with La Liga champions Barcelona.
In a viral video that surfaced on social media, the ‘Calm Down’ singer was pictured with Barcelona players during one of their training sessions, where he was presented with a personalized Barca jersey.
The collaboration elicited numerous reactions from Rema’s fans on social media, with many claiming that it confirmed Rema’s status as a global superstar.
Rema clarified on Saturday, sharing a video clip from the outing on Instagram, that his recent move was not intended to intimidate his colleagues, but rather to motivate others.
He wrote;
No be to pepper Anybody, only for motivational purposes @FCBarcelona #ultra.
Meanwhile, Sensational Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, better known by her stage name, Tems received the plaque for her Grammy award.
Tems won the award for Best Melodic Rap Performance for her appearance on American rapper Future’s song “Wait for You.”
Muyiwa Awoniyi, her manager, shared the news of the plaque’s arrival on Instagram without a caption on Friday.
