Yoruba movie veterans, Abeni Agbon and Tamo Tiye, have tendered a heartfelt gratitude to Nigerians for donating over N5 million for senior colleague, Iya Gbonkan’s car and house project.
WITHIN NIGERIA earlier reported that the 64-year-old thespian, Iya Gbonkan,who appears majorly in Yoruba movies, in a viral video said that despite being famous and working in the industry for years, she is yet to have a car of her own.
A popular prophet in Ibadan, Agbala Gabriel, made an arrangement immediately by sourcing funds from kind-hearted people all over the world so her dream could become a reality.
So far, over 5 million has been donated for her car and housing project.
In new video making the rounds, Pastor Gabriel paid Iya Gbonkan a visit in Osogbo.
Nollywood actresses Abeni Agbon and Tamotiye who lived nearby also stopped by her house and donated money to her, worth N500k.
They are also captured expressing appreciation and praying for those who had supported Iya Gbonkan after she cried out online.
Speaking in Yoruba, Iya Gbonkan also thanked Nigeians;
“I’m thankful and I don’t have power, you are my backbone, you will not get tired. My matter will not get you tired and you will not indebted to the good thing you are doing to me. In the name of God, you will have enough to spend. You will not have pain and in the name of God, you will not go blind”
