Singer and songwriter John Ighodaro, popularly known as Johnny Drille has recently opened up about a difficult moment in his career.
Jonny revealed that the day he felt like a loser was when he was evicted in the talent show, MTN project fame.
He stated that he appeared on the show in 2013.
The singer revealed this during an interview on ‘Trending ‘, a Hip TV show hosted by reality star KimOprah.
Johnny who rose to fame in 2015 after releasing his hit single ‘Wait For Me’ on Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records, admitted that his success did not come easy as he had to put in much work after his eviction to become the person he is today.
According to him:
“A lot of people don’t know but I was on Project Fame in 2013. I did not make top 10 not to talk of winning. But for me, it was like the beginning of everything for all these.
“I know when I was evicted that night, something was born in me. For the first time in my life, I feel like a loser. I feel like I wasn’t worth anything. That night, I made a decision that I’m going to become a great person, a great musician, a great artiste. So, it was from then that I started doing music professionally.”
Taking to his Instagram page, Johnny shared a heartwarming video of himself and his wife, Rima Tahini.
In the post, he expressed gratitude to his millions of fans and supporters, revealing that this aspect of his life had remained private until now.
Johnny Drille described his newly married status as the best part of himself. He extended a heartfelt message to his wife, expressing appreciation for her love and for completing him.
