- American singer Tony Bennett Reportedly dies at 96

Legendary American Singer, Anthony Dominick Benedetto, popularly known as Tony Bennett has passed away.
According to The Associated Press, he passed away on Friday in New York at the age of 96.
In a career spanning seven decades, Tony, whose cause of death was not disclosed, was among the last crooners to perform in America.
Over the course of his career, he has accumulated a number of honors, including two Primetime Emmy Awards, a Lifetime Achievement Award, and 20 Grammy Awards.
Tony, a 1926 Queens, New York native who attended high school in Manhattan, fell in love with music and drew inspiration from James Durante, Louis Armstrong, and Bing Crosby.
He served in the United States Army near the end of WWII and characterized his three months fighting along the front lines in France and Germany as a “front-row seat in hell.”
Tony received his big break in music in 1950 after returning to New York and changing his stage name from Joe Bari to Tony Bennett.
Similarly, Veteran Nollywood actor, Don Brymo Uchegbu reportedly passed away
The sad news about his demise was broken by his colleague, Mr Mayor Ofoegbu, who is also a well-known movie director and actor.
Ofoegbu disclosed that Brymo Uchegbu died in his sleep last night.
Sharing the sad news, he wrote:
“My man, my 5 & 6, Don Brymo Uchegbu passed in his sleep.
I received the shocking news this morning and had to verify from his family.
Chai! Don Brymo my manchi.
It’s had to say goodbye.
Nnukwu nwa na Enugu ukwu”
In a follow-up post, he also wrote:
“Goodbye my friend.
Don Brymo Uchegbu takes a bow.”
Don Brymo, who hails from Enugu-Ukwu, Njikoka LGA of Anambra state, was born in 1966, but officially joined the film industry in 2000, and has acted in several flicks.
He survived by a wife and children.
