- Liya, an ex-signee of the Afrobeats superstar, Davido has triggered mixed comments online following her new music release.
- In the track, she lamented about people trying to sleep with her.
- The lyrics of the song have now sparked suggestive comments as netizens try to uncover who she’s referring to.
The former signee of the renowned Nigerian singer, Davido, Liya has hinted at her personal experiences in a newly released track, titled, ‘Powerful’.
The songstress who recently confirmed her exit from Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) record label via a question and answer session shed light on the challenge she has encountered.
Delivered in Yoruba, Liya’s lyrics included the line “Eyin melo gan lefe bamisun,” which translates to “How many of you want to sleep with me.”
Reacting to the lyrics, netizens envisaged that Liya is fed up with male artists trying to take advantage of her and she boldly expressed her frustrations in a song.
