- After Isreal DMW, Davido’s aide, issued an apology to the Muslim community for the controversial ‘Jaye Lo’ music video, Davido caused a significant reaction on the internet by unfollowing him
- The Logistics Manager had earlier tendered an apology to the Muslim community over the controversial music video of Logos Olori which was shared on social media by the DMW boss
Nigerian award-winning singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has unfollowed his logistics manager, Isreal DMW, on Instagram, after he (Israel) apologized to the Muslim community on his behalf.
Last Friday morning, Davido took to his Twitter page, posted a music video in an attempt to promote his music artiste, Logos Olori.
The ‘Jaye Lo’ music video, which featured scenes of some persons praying and dancing in a building which has the semblance of a mosque, was, however, found offensive by some Muslims, who described it as disrespect to their religion.
The DMW Boss deleted the viral video but the Muslim community still demanded a public apology from the award-winning singer.
To pacify them, Israel DMW, took to his Instagram story and apologized on behalf of his boss
Isreal DMW explained that Jaye Lo clip is purely for entertainment purposes that was wrongly presented. He further declared that he loves all Muslims.
Israel wrote:
“Let me specially apologise to my Muslims brothers and sisters, on the video my oga posted, as a result of him wanting to lift up somebody, which is one of his hubbies.
It was purely an entertainment effort wrongly presented. Make una no vex. Love you all.”
But a recent check on Omo Baba Olowo’s Instagram page shows that he is no longer following Israel. Davido is yet to apologise or release a statement on the matter even after deleting the clip.
