Following the significant backlash Davido has faced from the Muslim community, investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo has advised the Afrobeats Superstar to consider leaving the country for his safety.
In a post on her Instagram page, the journalist highlighted that the singer is in a precarious situation, asserting that she has received credible information regarding the legitimacy of the threats against him.
Kemi issued a strong and serious warning to the DMW Boss, advising him to disregard his fans and leave the country immediately with his new signee, Logos Lori.
She emphasized that if any harm were to come to him, those very fans who are currently supporting and encouraging him would be the first ones to share information about the assault on social media.
Kemi Olunloyo wrote;
“Davido leave Nigeria with your artist. Get him a visa ASAP. You are in danger in Nigeria. Big Danger. Apologize to Islam. I have credible information that these credible threats are realm I was very quiet during the Deborah case.
I was dealing with the Oromoni threats which I now posted after 2 years. I was reading what this girl was writing on WhatsApp and vowed never to apologize. LEAVE!! LEAVE!! LEAVE!! Ignore your dáft fans saying it’s not your video.
You wrote the concept. You paid $70k, even the video director needs protection. They are not even “begging on your behalf, the Nigerian way”. If these people harm you, these fans will be the first to post”.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that Davido came under heavy criticisms after sharing a clip of the music video of his signee, Logos Olori’s new single ‘Jaye Lo’ which captured people praying and dancing in front of a mosque on Twitter.
The singer eventually bowed to pressure and deleted the video but refused to apologise.
Despite taking down the video, some Muslims are still demanding for a public apology from Davido.
A group of Muslim youths recently took to the streets of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital to demonstrate their displeasure with Davido; setting a large banner of the singer on fire.
