- Notable Afrobeat singer, Davido Adeleke, faces accusations of financial insufficiency and favoritism towards women in a viral video by an angry Nigerian man.
- Man identified as ‘Muller’ claims he received no return on his investment in supporting Davido’s uncle’s campaign, alleges Davido lives off his father’s wealth and receives gifts from alleged ‘yahoo boys.
A viral video circulating on social media captured the intense frustration of a man identified as Muller, as he publicly called out the notable Afrobeat singer, Davido accusing him of being broke and only extending financial help to women.
In his fiery rant, Muller claimed that he had invested significant resources in supporting Davido’s uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke’s campaign, but received no reciprocation.
The video shows an agitated Muller expressing his grievances with the singer, stating that he spent a substantial amount on data during Governor Ademola Adeleke’s campaign, seemingly implying that he expected some form of compensation from Davido in return for his support. However, he claimed to have received nothing from the Afrobeat star.
“Mr. Davido no get money. Na your papa money, anything you buy na your papa money,”Muller exclaimed, insinuating that Davido was merely living off his father’s wealth and not independently financially stable.
He went on to make further allegations, suggesting that the luxury items, including cars and jewelry, seen with Davido actually belonged to internet fraudsters, commonly known as yahoo boys, who allegedly lavished him with these gifts.
Muller continued, accusing Davido of receiving financial support mainly from the infamous yahoo boys, while ignoring the needs of others and allegedly favoring women.
In part of his words;
“Mr Davido no get money. Na your papa money, anything you buy na your papa money. All those yahoo people wey dey follow you na dem dey buy everything. Na only woman you dey give money.”
