Nollywood actor, Bankefa has made a distressing appeal to the Nigerian public for help.
In a video that has been widely circulated online, he opened up about the dire situation he is facing due to the financial problem of a movie he produced, which left him drowning in debt and eventually leading to a stroke.
Despite his dedication to his craft, the financial strain from producing the movie left him with overwhelming debts, leaving him with nothing and unable to provide for his children’s education.
In his attempt to find support and relief from his predicament, Bankefa reached out to several of his colleagues in the industry, including notable figures like Funke Akindele, Eniola Badmus, Foluke Daramola, Lizzy Anjorin, and Funke Etti. He also sought assistance from prominent Fuji singers Pasuma and Saheed Osupa. However, his efforts to get help from them have been met with silence, adding to his desperation and despair.
In his words:
“The movie I produced put me in so much debt and this led to me having a stroke. I have lost all my property. I am left with nothing. My children cannot go to school anymore. I have sent messages to Saheed Osupa, Pasuma, Eniola Badmus, and many other celebrities to help me but they have not responded”.
