- Singer Boy spyce reveals the weirdest thing he has ever done for love
- The singer opened up on how he once borrowed money to impress his girlfriend so she wouldn’t have to go out with another man
Nigerian fast rising artist Ugbekile David Osemeke, also known as Boy Spyce, has opened up on the “craziest” act of love he has ever shown a woman.
He admitted to borrowing money, about N50k to keep his girlfriend from going on a date with another man.
This was revealed by the Mavin signee in a recent interview with Cool FM Nigeria, which was hosted by reality personality Tacha.
When asked how far he has ever gone for love, boy spyce answered:
“The farthest I have ever gone for love is borrowing money. It sounds very basic but it’s actually something I would never do anymore. If I no get, I no get. I no go kill myself to impress anybody.
“This was years back. I think it was about N50,000. And at that time, it was a lot of money for me. She [my then girlfriend] was like she wanted to go and have fun and eat somewhere. I think a guy wanted to take her out and I was like, ‘Why will you go out with a guy when you are with me?’ And she was like she has been wanting to go the place. She likes it. So, I have to go and like borrow money.”
In another story, Boy Spyce chastises his fan for rating him higher than Davido
The overzealous fan with Twitter username @Lonerszn30 had rated Boy Spyce over Davido, saying that the Mavin act is now bigger than Omo Baba Olowo in the industry following his social media hiatus.
He made the statement while reacting to a post by Davido where he thanked fans for the massive support he received after dropping his new album, TIMELESS.
Boy Spyce’s Fan took to the comment section and said: “Boy Spyce is now bigger than you.”
On seeing the comment, the ‘Folake’ crooner insinuated that @Lonerszn30 was speaking under the influence of hard drugs.
He urged the guy to quit taking dangerous substances and emphasised that Davido is a mentor to him.
Spyce wrote; “Stay away from hard drugs pls . Na my Idolo be that.”
