The enigma surrounding the N2 million cash present musician D’banj gave an elderly woman has been clarified by well-known Lagos clergyman, Genesis.

In a heartwarming act of generosity, Nigerian music icon D’banj recently surprised a woman with a staggering N2 million cash gift.

The singer made headlines last week after giving a market woman 2 million naira in response to her description of what she would do if she won the $1 prize.

Kasnaty, an elderly guy, had gone to a market in the southwest to get market women’s opinions about what they would do with a $1 lottery prize if they were fortunate enough to win one.

The replies given by the women who were unaware of the dollar’s equivalent in naira were ludicrous.

One woman in particular said she planned to utilize the $1 to finish her building, take care of her kids, and expand her business.

D’banj was intrigued by the woman’s reaction and expressed an interest in getting in touch with her.

In keeping to his word, the musician gave the woman N2 million in his home after she was located.

He said:

“Let me tell you the mystery of $1. One person went to the market and met one woman among many women. The person asked that woman what she would do with $1 and she said what she would do with it. Through that, she met D’banj and gave her one million for her business and another one million to take care of her kids. Because she mentioned one, he gave her double for her trouble”.
