Mike shares chat with Seyi as he reveals why he saved him, netizens react

Reality star Mike explains controversial eviction vote

Big Brother Naija, contestant Mike Edwards revealed the heartwarming reason behind his decision to vote for Seyi Awolowo, despite Seyi having received the lowest number of votes among the housemates up for eviction.

The eviction episode saw three housemates – Tolanibaj, Uriel, and Seyi – facing the possibility of leaving the Big Brother house.

With Seyi and Uriel receiving the lowest votes, the final decision was left to the eviction jury, which comprised of former Big Brother Naija contestants Teddy A, Laycon, and Diane. The jury ultimately voted in favor of Uriel’s eviction.

However, it was Mike Edwards’ surprising vote for Seyi that captured the attention and curiosity of viewers. Mike, a reality star and former Big Brother Naija contestant himself, took to his Twitter page to shed light on his voting decision.

He shared a screenshot of a previous conversation with Seyi, where Seyi had offered Mike a place to stay after he missed his flight.

In the chat, Seyi’s kindness and generosity were evident as he extended a helping hand to Mike during a time of need.

Mike wrote;

“As e dey come down, we dey push am back up” –

In addition to the chat screenshot, Mike also attached a video featuring Nigerian musician Davido, in which Davido emphasized the importance of supporting friends in times of need. This unexpected revelation from Mike added a layer of depth to the eviction decision.
