- Alex blames Ilebaye’s behavior for the negative attention she’s facing.
- Cross argues Ilebaye’s actions are a result of her youth and lack of social understanding.
- Alex counters, stating she exhibited more respectful behavior at Ilebaye’s age.
Housemate Cross Okonkwo has come to the defense of fellow contestant Ilebaye, sparking a heated debate regarding her behaviour.
The controversy arose amidst a series of incidents, including a confrontation involving Ike, which culminated in his receiving a strike from Biggie for vandalization.
The drama reached a new height when Alex, another housemate, voiced her concerns about Ilebaye’s conduct within the house.
Alex placed blame on Ilebaye’s behavior for the backlash she had been receiving, asserting that the young housemate seemed to lack an understanding of respect for others.
Addressing Cross, Alex emphasized, “Ike is wrong, but Ilebaye is not even close to being a saint. Yesterday, she snatched water from Seyi’s wardrobe.”
In a surprising twist, Cross appeared to take a contrary stance, defending Ilebaye and attributing her actions to her age and relative inexperience with social dynamics.
Cross argued that Ilebaye’s behavior might be justified due to her youthful naivety and lack of understanding about proper social coordination.
Cross’s defense of Ilebaye stirred the debate further, prompting Alex to reiterate her concerns about the young housemate’s conduct.
She insisted that at the age of 21, she herself had exhibited more considerate behavior, implying that Ilebaye’s actions went beyond mere youthful indiscretions.
Alex highlighted a particular incident where Ilebaye reportedly snatched a water container from her hand and fetched another.
In her words;
“When I was 21, I did not behave like that. She doesn’t understand respect in any way and it’s fine. Yesterday, she literally snatched water from my hand and went to bring another one.”
