Lagos Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence Agency condemns Seyi’s disturbing remarks

Seyi had earlier threatened fellow housemates and equally made a disturbing statement that has caused outrage online


The reality star Seyi Awolowo’s troubling comments on the BBNaija program have been sharply denounced by the Lagos Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA).

Some of Seyi’s comments while conversing with fellow housemates startled and appalled viewers.

Two of numerous had prompted viewers to become uneasy, resulting in his being dragged on social media.

One of these was a statement he made about inflicting wound on Doyin and Ilebaye that no one could fix if Ike was expelled.

The second was his comments about having boys who he would want to sleep with other people’s daughters.

The DSVA weighed in to sharply denounce Seyi’s statements, which generated fury on social media.

The organization in a recent statement claims that Seyi’s comment encourage a culture of violence and serve to maintain negative attitudes among others.

They wrote …

We strongly condemn the comments made by Seyi Awolowo in the disturbing video that has surfaced. Such remarks perpetuate harmful attitudes and contribute to a culture of violence and abuse.

The bystanders’ passive response in the video is also deeply concerning because it only enables such behavior to persist. It is important for us all to actively speak up in circumstances such as this.
