Popular Nollywood actor, Benson Okonkwo has reacted to the recent and trending incident that occurred in Rivers State University (RSU) which involved hoodlums attacking the female hostel and robbing them of their valuables.
They also seized the opportunity to sexually assault some of the ladies by allegedly fingering and raping them. Some girls were also brutalized with machetes and beaten mercilessly.
A lady whose video has gone viral boldly affirmed that as of yesterday, she was a virgin, but today, she is no longer a virgin due to the fact that she was raped.
According to her, she was keeping her virginity for her husband, until the unfortunate incident occurred yesterday which resulted in her being forcefully penetrated.
The video has gone viral on social media with netizens expressing their displeasure over the girl’s unfortunate ordeal.
Benson Okonkwo who was among those that commented averred that his heart bleeds.

Benson Okonkwo revealed on his Instagram page that he called to check up on May Yul-Edochie as she continues to grieve, away from the prying eyes of social media.
Recall May and Yul lost their first son, Kambilichukwu.
Disclosing how their phone conversation went, Benson Okonkwo shared photos of the mourning mother, and stated that she is fine and getting better.
Although May didn’t disclose when she’ll be back on social media, Okonkwo claimed she will soon return.
The actor added that the now mother of three was emotional about the prayers and goodwill messages she is getting from her fans, stating she is appreciative of their kind gesture
