Rema’s Ethiopia show cancelled as his ‘Burning church’ necklace sparks religious controversy (VIDEO)

In recent times, the 'Calm down' singer boldly displayed his 'Burning Church' pendant on the internet. However, this action has ensnared him in a web of trouble just before his scheduled performance in Ethiopia tomorrow, igniting a fervent religious debate in the East African nation.

The highly acclaimed Nigerian music sensation, Rema, had his eagerly awaited Ethiopian concert abruptly quashed, as multiple sources report.

Scheduled for September 9, 2023, at the opulent Sheraton Hotel in Addis Ababa, this much-anticipated concert faced a startling cancellation due to what’s been described as religious sensitivities by the hotel’s management.

The abrupt cancellation of Rema’s highly-anticipated Ethiopian show unfolded due to the startling necklace he revealed, capturing a chilling depiction of a church engulfed in flames, alongside crosses turned topsy-turvy.

Shockingly, these audacious fashion choices set ablaze a torrent of controversy, painting the music sensation with the brush of being a devil’s worshipper, plunging the whole saga into a cauldron of dark and sensational intrigue.

According to an information sourced from The Will, Rema’s necklace choice stirred controversy within the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church and the Ethiopian populace, ultimately resulting in the hotel’s decision to cancel the singer’s scheduled performance.

An Ethiopian woman made a recent appearance on Nigerian media luminary Daddy Freeze’s Instagram live program, passionately discussing the abrupt cancellation of Rema’s concert in her homeland.

According to her, a formal press release was disseminated due to escalating concerns that Rema’s necklace might imply involvement in devil worship, igniting a wave of apprehension and intrigue surrounding the artist’s intentions

In her words: “They made a statement, like a press release in Ethiopia about Rema. Yes, you can imagine, it’s a very big deal.

“They’re basically saying he is worshipping the devil because of what he has on his neck. And to be honest, I never thought of it myself. And there’s more to it; to be honest.”
