#JusticeforMohbad: Memorial turns to chaos as Nigerians are being dispersed with tear gas in Lekki (VIDEO)

Tear gas, a frantic scramble for safety, and utter pandemonium were the unwelcome reception Skitmaker Oluwadolarz and fellow protesters encountered at Lekki Toll Gate. They had gathered in the thousands to demand justice for Mohbad but were met with a harsh response as the police forcibly dispersed them.

Fans and colleagues of the late Nigerian musician, Mohbad, gathered at the Lekki Phase 1 Gate in Lagos State on Thursday to voice their demands for justice in his death.

However, their protest was met with a strong response as tear gas was used to disperse them.

The protest, initiated by the late singer’s management, started at 5 pm, while a tribute concert took place at Muri Okunola Park at 8 pm.

Sharing a troubling video and update from Mohbad’s memorial event at Lekki Toll Gate, where the Skitmaker Oluwadolarz was caught on camera struggling to breathe, his eyes reddened, as he tried to clear the air from tear gas deployed during what he considered a peaceful gathering.

In the video, a group of young protesters was captured in a frantic retreat, fleeing for safety, while the Skitmaker hastily departed, vehemently expressing his outrage at the police’s use of tear gas.
