The event drew Nigerians living in Canada, with notable celebrities in attendance such as Bella Shmurda and Lord Lamba, all united in their demand for justice for Mohbad.
Addressing the gathered crowd, Bella Shmurda emotionally described the deceased as not only his brother but also his close friend and confidant. He revealed that he was abroad when he received the heartbreaking news of Mohbad’s passing. Shortly thereafter, he received a call from his mother urging him not to return to Nigeria immediately.
Expressing his gratitude to everyone present at the procession, Bella Shmurda reaffirmed their commitment to pursuing justice for the late crooner. He struggled to find words to convey the depth of his sadness, saying,
“This person is my brother, my guy, is my best friend. It’s really sad.”
Bella Shmurda concluded his speech with heartfelt thanks for those who attended and a solemn call for justice on behalf of Mohbad.
