Veteran Nollywood actor, Kanayo O Kanayo has vehemently denied being involved in money ritual activities.
The actor, who has been stereotyped in movies as a ritualist, has made it clear that he is not and will never be part of money rituals.
He emphasized that he has never participated in the money ritual and claimed it is not a good thing to be involved in.
The renowned actor stated in an interview with Afia TV that the nickname “Nnanyi Sacrifice” was something someone called him during the funeral of millionaire businessman Obi Cubana’s mother, and he rejected it.
The actor/lawyer claimed that the label of ritualist has persisted despite his refusal.
Kanayo O Kanayo added that as long as he is getting paid, he doesn’t care what others call him.
In his words:
“Money ritual is not good and will never be good. I will never be part of it and have never been part of it. When you hear somebody call me ‘Nnanyi Sacrifice,’ it was just the name somebody called me during Obi Cubana’s mother’s burial.
“One thing about names is that immediately you start rejecting it, it sticks. Call me any name you like, but pay me my cheque. If we listen to the message, we will change the society more. I am just a vessel.”
