Victor Osimhen yanks off all Napoli photos from his instagram following mocking tiktok video

Napoli had shared a TikTok video that made fun of Osimhen for missing an important penalty

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has surprised many as he remove all traces of Napoli from his Instagram account.

The talented player’s unexpected move came shortly after a TikTok video mocking his infamous mishap during a match went viral across social media platforms.

The disputed TikTok video was first posted on Napoli’s official TikTok site, where it was met with immediate backlash.

Osimhen’s missed penalty attempt, which came amid a trying time for Napoli, was made fun of in the video.

The dispute erupted when Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, called the video unacceptable. This incident has exacerbated the player’s already strained relationship with his club.

Napoli has had a slow start to the season, currently sitting in seventh place in Serie A. The frustration among spectators and players was evident, contributing to a difficult environment during a recent match against Bologna.

Victor Osimhen faced a critical moment during the match against Bologna as he stepped up to take a penalty kick.

A successful conversion could have given Napoli a much-needed victory and relieved some of the mounting pressure. However, Osimhen’s miss worsened the team’s troubles and fueled fan and management displeasure.

Victor Osimhen is apparently considering legal action against his own club in response to the TikTok video and the ensuing controversy.

His agent, Roberto Calenda, issued a formal declaration.

“What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable.

A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted”.

“A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news”.

“We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor”.
