“Two clout chasers” Nigerians slam Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dikeh for recording Mohbad’s new casket

Tonto Dikeh and Iyabo Ojo had earlier gone to get a casket and the necessary things needed to give Mohbad a befitting burial

Nollywood actresses Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dikeh have come under fire from Nigerians, who called them out as “clout chasers” for their recent actions.

Tonto Dikeh and Iyabo Ojo were seen in a video recording themselves while buying new casket for the burial of Nigerian musician Mohbad.

Recall how many people complained that the first casket in which Mohbad was interred was too small during the deliberations about his funeral.

Concern over this issue led to requests for a new, better-suited coffin to properly remember the deceased artist. Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dike made the decision to act by getting a new casket.

However, their choice to record the process of purchasing the casket caused several netizens to raise an eyebrow.

Some Nigerians questioned if Iyabo and Tonto’s choice to record this personal moment was motivated by sincere compassion or by a desire for attention and influence.

Within Nigeria recalls a few hours earlier that Dehinde Harrison, the CEO of Ebony Vaults, volunteered to donate a free hall, pallbearers, a horse-drawn carriage, and wreath bearers for Mohbad’s funeral ceremony.

The incident has sparked a heated debate on social media, with many criticizing them for carrying their cameras along while doing such a commendable work.

Dr Dípò Awóiíde wrote: “This is excessive. I doubt reasonable person will record and share a video of themselves shopping for a casket for their family member. This video should not exist and certainly shouldn’t be on the internet. This is very unfortunate.”

One Fela Cas wrote: “Two clout chasers doing everything for the camera”

Osun è ku iroju wrote: “I have once said it and will still reiterate it again. These people care less about Mohbad. They are all about clout chasing. With my over 4 decades on earth, I have never seen anyone do a video while shopping for a casket. It’s so gri ss. Haha”

Abeni said: “Is it necessary to record the act of commemoration? This isn’t me calling them clout chasers, but is it necessary tho’? Seeing those coffins just gives me chills
