The long-standing mystery of who killed iconic rapper Tupac Shakur in 1996 might finally be coming to a close.
A Nevada grand jury has charged 60-year-old Duane “Keffe D” Davis with killing iconic American rapper Tupac Shakur.
The Las Vegas Police presented Keffe D, who is rumored to be the uncle of Orlando Anderson, a well-known foe of Tupac, in court.
Keffe D was charged with murder with the use of a dangerous weapon by the jury.
On the night of Tupac’s death, his nephew Anderson, who was reportedly involved in a casino altercation with the rapper’s friends, denied any role in the rapper’s murder at the time.
Two years later, Anderson passed away in a separate gang shooting.
Keffe D stated in interviews and in his 2019 tell-all memoir, “Compton Street Legend,” that he was in the automobile reportedly used in the shooting.
Tupac Shakur was shot multiple times after leaving a boxing match at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on September 7, 1996, and died six days later at the age of 25.
The murder shocked the music industry and has remained one of the most talked-about unsolved cases in modern history.
There have never been any arrests in the case until Friday.
