- Samklef releases a video of Sam Larry and his boys assaulting Dj Tuzo at a recent event.
- The music producer and singer uploaded the video as proof to strengthen the fact that Sam Larry was in Nigeria as at August 26th contrary to his statement of leaving the country on August 20th.
Famous singer and music producer Samklef has shared a video depicting an altercation between Sam Larry and DJ Tuzo at a recent event.
This video surfaced in response to Sam Larry’s police statement in which he claimed to have been out of the country since August 20th and denied any involvement in the death of Mohbad.
A segment of Sam Larry’ s police statement reads as follows:
” I traveled to Kenya to search for a new African act to perform at my mother’ s concert this year. I have been away since August 20th, and up to this point, I am unaware of anything beyond what has been reported in blogs and the press. I don’ t even know his current residence. ”
” I only have knowledge of his former label boss and their residence. I have no information regarding any nurse, doctor, or hospital. I am oblivious to his recent movements. I simply do not have the time for it. I have experienced far greater financial losses before; it’ s part of life, you win some, you lose some. ”
However, Samklef has presented evidence suggesting that Sam Larry was indeed in Nigeria on the 26th at Wave Beach, implying that he may have fabricated parts of his statement.
This revelation raises questions about the accuracy of Sam Larry’ s claims and introduces the possibility of inconsistencies in his account of events.
The video shared by Samklef appears to challenge the timeline provided by Sam Larry, potentially adding a new layer of complexity to the ongoing investigation surrounding the circumstances of Mohbad’ s tragic passing.
Captioning the video, Samklef wrote:

Following Sam Larry’s return to Nigeria and subsequent detention by the police, Nigerian socialite Sam Larry, whose real name is Balogun Olamilekan Eletu, has provided insight into the reasons behind his alleged mistreatment of the late singer Mohbad.
Mohbad’s death occurred under contentious circumstances on September 12, 2023. The incident that brought Sam Larry into the spotlight involved a viral video in which he appeared to disrupt a music shoot and threaten Mohbad with armed individuals.
This incident prompted widespread calls from Nigerians for Larry’s arrest, leading to his custody by the police. Subsequently, he has broken his silence and presented his perspective in a statement.
In his statement, Sam Larry recounted an encounter from two years ago when he claimed to have generously given N2 million to Mohbad with the expectation that the singer would perform at his mother’ s annual remembrance concert in Ikorodu.
However, Mohbad failed to appear, citing illness and an unfortunate run- in with the NDLEA. When Sam Larry requested a refund, Mohbad allegedly explained the loss of both the money and his phone during the raid.
According to Sam Larry, when Mohbad expressed his intention to leave Marlian Records, he disclosed his financial difficulties and made no commitment to repay the debt.
Later on, Sam Larry claimed to have discovered that Mohbad was shooting a music video nearby, alongside Zlatan Ibile.
Frustrated, he confronted Mohbad about the unpaid debt, leading to a heated argument lasting five minutes. Despite a friend of Mohbad allegedly promising to repay the money, no payment has been made to this day. This incident occurred early last year, and Sam Larry claimed to have moved on from it.
Sam Larry mentioned that he traveled to Kenya in search of a new African act to perform at his mother’ s concert this year, leaving Nigeria on August 20th. He asserted that he is unaware of developments beyond what the media has reported. Larry claimed not to know Mohbad’ s current whereabouts, having only been acquainted with his former label boss and their residence. He professed his ignorance of any nurse, doctor, or hospital involved and denied any knowledge of Mohbad’ s recent movements.
Larry emphasized that he voluntarily returned to Nigeria to cooperate with the police investigation and stressed that he had no direct or indirect involvement in the tragic demise of the musician.
