- Samklef revealed that Banky had initiated his cancel culture with his friend who worked in sound city
- Speaking on Mohbad’s case, Samklef stated that many record labels are quiet because they are no different from Naira Marley
Nigerian music producer and songwriter Samklef has recently opened up about how singer Banky W and his friend initiated his personal “cancel culture” back in 2012.
Following Mohbad’s death, Samklef explained why many record company executives and other prominent musicians are tight-lipped about the singer’s passing.
He claimed that while many of them are aware of their own involvement, they weren’t as vicious as Naira Marley.
He talked about his encounter with Banky W, who he said was responsible for starting the cancel culture with a friend of his who worked in Soundcity.
Samklef urged his colleagues to share their sincere experiences while making fun of Banky W’s pastoral calling.
“Banky W the individual who initiated my personal cancel culture in 2012. And one of his friends in Soundcity… He is now a pastor lol. Fellow artists, it’s time to share your genuine experiences! Don’t hesitate! The reason many of them remain quiet about this matter is that they are aware of their own involvement. They were not just violent like Naira Marley” he said
Taking to the comment section, many agreed with him, while others criticized him for how long it had been since the music producer had released a good record.

They will surely pay for it one day.
