Mohbad: The Police lied, they didn’t send invitation before declaring me wanted – Prime boy (VIDEO)

The Mohbad's passing investigation has unfolded like a high-stakes game of accusations and counter-allegations among all the parties involved. This dynamic is especially evident in Primeboy's recent disclosure, where he not only refuted but also fired back at the police's claims that he had ignored their summons. The whole situation has cast a shroud of mystery, leaving us uncertain about who is telling the truth or not.

Singer Ibrahim Owodunni, famously known as Primeboy, has asserted that the police didn’t extend an invitation for questioning regarding Mohbad’s demise before branding him as a wanted suspect.

He made this revelation during an interview with TVC News on Thursday, just before voluntarily handing himself over.

The Lagos police command declared Primeboy wanted on Wednesday, saying he failed to honour their invitation. They also placed a N1 million bounty for anyone with information that would lead to his arrest.

But the singer, who appeared before the police with his lawyer, said he earlier wanted to go to the authorities but was advised to wait till he was invited.

That’s a big lie. How will I receive a message from the police and I will refuse them? Before all this ‘wanted’ issue, I wanted to go and explain myself at the station because people started accusing me wrongly.

“People that I called said I should chill, I should not go anywhere, I should wait for them to invite me,” he said.

Primeboy further clarified his relationship with the late 27-year-old, describing their bond as that of childhood pals.

He harked back to Mohbad’s famous line ‘stepmother no care’, in late singer’s song, asserted that during those times, he was like a stepmother to him, playing the roles of both a father figure and a close companion.

According to him, their connection ran deep because they lived together, and his mother cared for them both as a pair.

Mohbad is my childhood friend, he is my friend. All those times of ‘stepmother no care’, I was his stepmother then, I was his dad, I was his friend, I was everything to him because he lived with me then. My mum fed two of us together,” he said.
