Veteran Nollywood actress Ronke Ojo, also known by her stage as Oshodi Oke, has discussed the psychological toll her failed marriage took on her, stating that it almost drove her insane.
During an interview on a program ‘Talk To B’ with media personality Biola Adebayo, the actress made this heartbreaking revelation. Ronke emphasized that the emotional upheaval of her broken marriage left her emotionally unstable to the point where she almost went naked in the streets.
She continued by saying that her late friend, the late actress Orisabunmi, had intervened to prevent her from leaving the house in that way.
She said:
“At a point, I almost lost my sanity, like mo fe ya were. I got out of my ex-husband’s room naked, I was going to walk outside naked. It was Bunmi, may her soul rest in perfect peace who drew me back. I was about to walk out butt naked.”
She described the trauma she underwent as “mental torture” and said she wouldn’t want it on anyone. She then urged ladies to understand the difference between a man who doesn’t care about his woman and a man who is poor.
“That mental torture is not good for anyone. Another thing is, there is a difference between a man who doesn’t have any money and a man who doesn’t care, if a man doesn’t care it’s bad.”

Nigerian actress, Charity Nnaji, has revealed the real reason she was forced to leave her marriage of 10 years.
Charity who stated that it was due to domestic violence said she can stand being with a man who is financially handicapped but she would never stay with one who engages in domestic abuse.
Nnaji stated this in an interview, adding that what she endured in her marriage which crashed four years ago can end someone else’s life if they experience same.
