Davido salutes Rema for being the only Nigerian in America’s Top 5 Artists list – VIDEO

Renowned Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, gave a big thumbs-up to his fellow artist, Rema, for his latest triumph in the United States of America.

Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ remix, featuring Selena Gomez, etched its name into the history books by becoming the first Nigerian track to hold a spot on the U.S. Billboard charts for a full year.

During a recent interview on UAE’s The Kris Fade Show, Davido couldn’t contain his amazement at how the song not only held its ground but also climbed into the Top 5 on the charts.

Davido remarked that witnessing the global surge of Afrobeat is nothing short of mind-blowing, and he takes immense pride in seeing stars like Rema absolutely crushing it on the international stage.

OBO said;

“Years ago, I’d never ever think a Nigerian artiste would have a Top 5 record in America. Rema has had Top 5 records in America for like the past eight months, non-shaken. Everybody has dropped but he’s in Top 5”.

In related news, Davido recently accused the previous NFF president Amaju Pinnick of stealing footballers’ money following their online altercation over a $94k debt.

Amaju Pinnick had criticised Davido for not showing up at the Warri Again concert where he was scheduled to perform, despite earning $94,600 and the organisers hiring a private jet for him for $18,000.

The Unavailable crooner had stated on his X page that he would not remain silent on the topic, and nobody could stop him from playing in Warri.

After hours, Davido took to Instagram and vowed not to return the money Pinnick allegedly paid him. Instead, he said he would double the amount and donate it to a football charity.
