Nigerian celebrities unite in grand display to honor Wizkid's late mother

Nigerian celebrities and members of the entertainment industry joined forces in a show of support to commemorate the life of Nigerian superstar, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, as he laid his late mother, Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun, to rest.

The loss of Wizkid’s beloved mother, Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun, on Friday, August 18th, left the Balogun family in a state of profound grief.

To honor her memory, the family organized an extravagant burial ceremony that saw a myriad of personalities from the entertainment world, such as Eniola Badmus, Mercy Eke, Banky W, Tiwa Savage, Kim Oprah, and many more, coming together to pay their respects.

The somber and emotional proceedings began with a night of wake-keeping held on Wednesday evening.

During this candlelight procession, Wizkid, the superstar son of the late Mrs. Balogun, was observed appearing deeply moved and on the verge of tears as he paid his respects to his beloved mother.

Dressed in traditional attire and wearing solemn expressions, the attendees came together to offer their support and condolences to Wizkid and his family during this difficult time.
