Afrobeats Superstar Davido conveyed his warm regards to Wizkid despite not being able to attend his mother’s burial party.

Wizkid, on Friday night, hosted a grand burial celebration in honor of his late mother, Mrs. Juliana Morayo Balogun, a high-profile event graced by a plethora of dignitaries, including kings and billionaires.

Since then, netizens remained in the loop as event updates continue to flood social media, with one particularly touching clip capturing moment Davido indirectly shared a special message to Wizkid.

The OBO Crooner, who was unable to attend the party because his wife Chioma gave birth to twins, made sure that top Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (KWAM 1) delivered his message to Wizkid with a praise song.

In the clip, KWAM 1 sang about how Davido who is now a father of twins had sent his greetings to Wizkid about the celebration of life for his late mother.

The singer showed his emotional side at his late mother, Madam Juliana Morayo Balogun’s wake service. 

The wake took place at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos on Thursday, October 12, 2023, and videos from the event made the rounds on social media.

One such video posted on Instagram by @goldmynevibes showed the moment Wizkid took to the stage to give an emotional speech about the death of his mother.

According to the Mummy Mi crooner, he has no way to properly explain the pain that he feels, and it is impossible for it to go away.

Speaking further, Wizkid also called his mother’s death the deepest pain he has ever felt in his life. He prayed God comfort him, his siblings and other members of their family.
