“Thank you NFF” – Ilebaye ecstatic as she prepares to accompany Super Eagles players to AFCON 2023 (VIDEO)

After her extraordinary and against-the-odds triumph on the BBNaija All-Stars show, Ilebaye has been given the nod by the NFF to sprinkle her winning magic on the Super Eagles players. They've invited her to be part of the cheer squad for the Super Eagles on their journey to AFCON 2023 in Côte d'Ivoire next year. The Reality TV star is positively ecstatic about the invitation and has poured out her heartfelt thanks to the Football Federation for the tremendous honor they've handed her.


Big Brother Naija All-Stars edition winner, Ilebaye Odiniya, is on cloud nine and all set to be the Super Eagles’ staunchest cheerleader in their quest to clinch victory at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote D’Ivoire next January.

The Reality TV sensation, in a fresh video sighted on her page, had a thrilling moment as she unveiled the enticing invite package dispatched by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), packed to the brim with Super Eagles goodies.

Ilebaye, with her unwavering passion for the sport, stressed that football is a universal language that transcends borders. She recalled a vivid memory from her childhood when she was just 12 years old, the last time the Super Eagles clinched the AFCON trophy.

She fondly remembered the jubilation that echoed through her family’s home, with her dad regaling her with stories of Okocha, Kanu, and other legends, passing down a living legacy of their football greatness.

Ilebaye also expressed her unwavering belief that the Super Eagles have what it takes to clinch victory in the AFCON 2023 tournament.

Captioning the video, she extended her gratitude to the NFF for including her in this campaign and emphasized that being a part of it is a true honor.

She wrote;

The African cup of nations is exactly 90 days from today, I personally will be following and cheering the team to victory because I believe we have what it takes to bring the trophy home, and I hope you too will be supporting. Our beloved super Eagles can’t do it without your support.

“We have done it before, so let’s do it again. Thank you NFF for making me a part of the campaign, it’s an honour. Baye Tribe, let’s flood the comment section with the Nigerian flag!”

Super Eagles’ Coach Jose Peseiro’s side, who played out to a 2-2 draw with the Falcons of Saudi Arabia in an international friendly clash on Friday, have been drawn against hosts Cote D’Ivoire, Guinea Bissau and Equatorial Guinea in Group A phase of the continental soccer showpiece.

The draw was conducted on Thursday night in Abidjan and competition is slated for 13 January – 11 February 2024.
